2006 Candlelight Vigil
Respect, Honor, Remember. These are the words that resonate throughout the National Law Enforcement Memorial that honors the law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. The 2006 Candlelight Vigil held on Saturday, 13 May 2006 was a small tribute to these fallen officers and the newly enscribed names from the 2005-2006 year and towards the end of this gallery, you will see the candles lit and held high in tribute.
I was honored to help photograph and document the event as well as capture the haunting and resonating images of the sounds of the Washington D.C. Regional Police Pipe Band as they played from high above on the roof ledge of the FBI Washington Field Office building.
