GIT Rockin
GIT Rockin’ was the 3rd Annual Battle of the Government IT Bands held on 16 October 2008 at the State Theatre in Falls Church, Virginia. The event was a United Services Organization of Metropolitan Washington (USO- Metro) fund raiser with all proceeds from attendee and ticket sales donated to the USO. GIT Rockin’ featured bands were chosen in August in a “blind” judging by a panel comprised of 1105 Government Information Group staff and event sponsors. To qualify, bands had to include two members of the government IT community. Five bands consisting of IT government personnel and friends battled for the most attendee votes to claim the title of Government IT Band winner. The ManTech staffed USSOUTHCOM Theater C4S Support Center band was Tom & The Rhodes Squallers.
