Finally...its Spring and the Cherry Blossoms are at their peak in Washington D.C. A local photographer and instructor, Matt Randall ( http://www.allrand.com) and I met at Theodore Roosevelt Island on Saturday to scout out photo opportunitites and to show me TR Island. On Sunday, I had the fortune of having a friend from work, Jen, act as tourguide and show me some of the sights in DC... starting at 0500 in the morning (actually 0400 since daylight savings time also robbed us of one hours sleep)! Surprisingly, thousands of other DC visitors had the same idea about getting to the tidal basin early! As it turns out, Jen knows her way around DC...even in her sleep.
